I invite you to get a cup of tea or a glass of water and let me introduce myself;
I am a dreamer, healer, therapist, teacher and wayfinder; I am a gardener a creator and holder of spaces - both in our bodies, for individuals and for groups and organisations. I love the edges both physically and in the liminal, this is where our innate wildness seeds into our domesticated landscapes. I am a writer and a spinner of thread and words, and a very weaver both of thread and energy. I mix my metaphors and refuse to be put into a shape other than the questions that keeps me burning - how can I become more integrated into our Earths ecology, and how can I help other humans do this. By doing so how can we then really explore the landscape and terrain of the portals in our bodies
My healing journey started in my early twenties (I am now in my 50's) when I was exploring lands on the other side of the world and I become aware of energy outside of our bodies, of Elemental Beings who live within the landscape all around us, and discovering that my body was a landscape of Earth.
This has directed me ever since, questing to deepen my relationship as a human being rooted in the landscape of where I call home.
Since that time I have worked every day with altars, whether they be simple and momentary or deeper for more potent purposes. I find this is a great way to hold me, my dreams and intents and provides one of the foundations for my life.
I live in Mid-Wales, a land that adopted me 27 years ago, when we lived amongst the Mountains of the North, travelled south to the Dyfi estuary, and are now in the the Valleys of Mid-Wales on a little smallholding where I deepen my relationship with the elemental beings of this little patch of land, and its surrounds, learning how to create harmony and growth, how the 'garden' grows me and understanding more about my relationship to soil, the mycorrhizal network and my dreams, as well as the plants and beings that live around here with us.
I love learning, and my interests and trainings have been varied and centred deeply around herbalism and stones; yoga and my body; women's health - especially in relationship to fertility cycles and latterly the wisdom the peri-menopausal and menopausal gateways bring. There are too many to mention other than I love the gateways my body opens within myself to explore deeper aspects of my being.
I had a rich 7 year apprenticeship with a Medicine Woman who loves earth deeply and resides in the US. She taught me how to use my light body to work with other people irregardless of where they are in the world and held me as I quested my relationship the other realms and the ancestors who prayed for us, through a series of ceremony. She deepened my understanding of minerals, rocks and crystals and since then I have worked consistently with Crystal Skulls and their relationship with the web of life, of which we, as humans, are part.
Along the way I have woven in beloved herbal forays and foraging, plants have been with me ever since I made potions in the garden as a child.
Eliot Cowan, deepened my relationship with the plant world through his Plant Spirit Medicine training, and this ignited a deep respect and love for the Ancient Chinese Medicine that is the Five Elements and has been my constant daily companion for the past 20 years as I interact and learn with them every day.
They formed the base of my Kinesiology practice as I worked deeply within the School of Creative Kinesiology, it has shaped more of me as a healer, as I journeyed along the route from foundation to professional therapist with training in somatic body work, listening and witnessing. I am now a registered teacher of the School and helped run the school with a wonderful team alongisde Carrie Jost.
The Five Elements have returned to the fore as I have travelled with the wisdom of Lorie Eve Dechar and Benjamin Fox as I circled through their Alchemical Mentorship which completed in January 2025. This has bought me to a new depth and resonance with the Elements and this ancient way of working.
Throughout the past 27 years I have worked within the circle of a Sacred Fire tradition, alongside my husband, I am consistently in awe of the simplicity of how sitting in front of a ritual fire, and offering heartfelt prayers as we journey as a community through the elements brings a deep connection to the ancient parts of ourselves.
I love how all these bits of me make up my whole... and that whole is continually seeking the other bits of me that are still hidden and are waiting to be unearthed, reunited or refined within myself. And this is a key piece I hold for others at this point, how we weave in as much of ourselves as we can to create a beautiful book of our bodies, not becoming overly focused on one word, sentence, paragraph, page or chapter.
I love writing poetry and prose, reading, singing badly, sewing and creating, honouring the cycles and seasons of the land and myself and walking barefoot with my dog whilst foraging for whatever is in season.
Much of my focus is how we, as humans, can devolve ourselves to become more rooted into Earth, to understand ourselves as part of the landscape around us, and as such to deepen our relationship to the places we call home. I listen to the wisdom of First Nations and Indigenous Elders, those who I feel help us to deepen our relationship to our inner compasses and our North Star those that guide us back to the Garden of our Hearts.
In this way I do my best to empower and help guide other humans in a way that can bring them into a deeper alignment with their hearts and soul, bring themselves back from the edge of overwhelm.
